Before We Knew It Chapter 126: What Will Happen Next?

Chiyoka wrote a letter to Arake, which was read by her brother. In the letter, Chiyoka told Arake that she was in love with him and wanted to be with him. However, she also said that she could not forget about her duty to her family. She asked Arake to come and see her one last time before she left for Edo.

When Arake came to see her, he found out that she had already gone back to Edo with their son. He felt sad because he loved Chiyoka but understood why she had gone back. When someone knocked on his door, he thought it might have been Chiyoka returning. But when he opened the door, it was an angry father of one of his students who demanded an apology from him for being too close to his daughter.

Previous Chapter Recap

In the previous chapter, we saw Chiyoka write a letter to her love and then head to his house. However, when she got there, she found that the house had burned down. Heartbroken, she turned to leave when she heard someone calling her name. Could it be him? He said he wanted to meet me at our usual spot. I was going to talk about my feelings for him, but before I could tell him, he confessed how much he loved me instead. He revealed that after waiting for so long, all the pain seemed like nothing in comparison to being with me again. Seeing how happy I made him was what made me fall in love with him all over again too.

Before We Knew It Chapter 126

Arake was so happy to see me, but seeing him overwhelmed with grief over losing his home and everything inside also broke my heart. As we stood together on the street corner where we first met and shared a kiss, I finally realized that even if everything goes wrong around us, as long as we’re together, I’ll never feel lonely or unhappy ever again!

Yo, if they are ashes, I can just imagine the author was writing this scene like “Oh this is gonna be so meaningful and sentimental” and then all the comments are just ripping it apart like “it’s pocket sand” and “that better not be her goddamn ashes” 💀💀 lmao.
